Not only is this the easiest recipe to make, it’s fiber-packed and a great addition to your typical peanut butter 🙂 It’s really only a 2-step process to make and I love keeping a jar of it in the cupboard for my smoothies, toast, with a piece of dark chocolate (!), all kinds of things. It’s packed with extra fiber, healthy fats (omega-3s for great skin, heart and brain health, in addition to being anti-inflammatory) and extra protein! Try it out for yourself!
Superfood Peanut Butter
Ingredients
- 1 Jar peanut butter, creamy or crunchy (I look for only one-ingredient, or two ingredients including sea salt)
- 1/4 cup golden flaxseed meal (or whole flaxseeds, then blend to create a fine texture)
Instructions
-
Stir flaxseed meal into peanut butter.
-
If using whole flaxseeds, give them a quick blend in your blender until it reaches a fine texture.
-
Store in the original peanut butter jar or in an airtight container. Stays fresh for up to 3 months in the pantry, and longer in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
I enjoy posts that match in your knowledge gaps.
This one is of that sort. I also like the way the author organized his ideas in addition to the visual component.
