I tried it… but it had a bitter taste to it, so I tried the honey and it was better. 🙂 I was wondering if there is an alternative to the hemp milk? Or if I could use a different milk blended with the hemp seeds?
You can also just do unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk 🙂 Then leave out the hemp seeds if you’d like.
I loved this recipe! Is this best to have after a workout or is it good to have anytime of day?
Thank you so much! I tend to have midmorning, but it’s great any time of day 🙂 Especially with the addition of collagen– could be awesome for after a workout
what is the brand of Matcha you use?
I have been loving Chalait. They now sell it on Amazon Prime!
I came across your blog / website via The Real Food Dietitians. I’m loving your content! I recently decided to give matcha a try and went with your recommendation of Chalait. I’m really enjoying it! Question re: this recipe… do you think I could make this a hot drink by using the same preparation of the hemp milk (i.e., blend the seeds with hot water?) Thanks!
May I ask does the collagen makes the hemp milk thicker? If I don’t use it will there be any change in texture?
Can I make this without the collagen powder? Sadly it makes me feel very nauseated:(
