I’m making it a point in 2017 to listen to more podcasts not only because they offer an insane amount of information from experts on a variety of different topics, but you can listen to them literally anytime of the day while getting ready for work, driving in your car, working out, answering emails, cooking, whenever. I’ve really never listened to podcasts before January of this year, but that has changed and I’m so happy to have found an alternative to reading (I think I fall asleep after 20 minutes of reading 9 times out of 10). I took dozens of recommendations from you all and came up with my top 7 favorite health, wellness and fitness podcasts. Check them out and let me know what you think!
1 ) The Health Code Podcast
If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I wish I was born and raised in Australia. Bridger and I took our first trip there earlier this year over my birthday and it was truly the best trip we’ve ever had. About a month before we left, several of my IG followers told me I should start following this big You-Tuber/Instagrammer from Sydney, @sarahs_day. After the first day of following her, I was hooked! She is the funniest, most relatable girl and I’m convinced we’d be best friends if we knew each other. Sarah & Kurt, her boyfriend, give such great advice when it comes to all things health, wellness and entrepreneurial feats. If there was only one podcast I could listen to for the rest of my lift it would be The Health Code!
2 ) Bulletproof Radio:
This insanely addictive podcast is for anyone wanting to learn more about quality nutrition and life hacks. With cutting edge research from world-class experts, Dave Asprey truly provides enough knowledge to keep you entertained for days (months, years??). I’ve become SUCH a fan of the Bulletproof lifestyle and especially of their vanilla shortbread Bulletproof bars and Brain Octane. Yes, Dave starts his podcasts with ads, but they’re informative and you can always FF to the good stuff if you so choose. He also talks about some of the workouts/exercises he does that includes equipment most of us will never get access to in our lives because of how expensive it is, but it’s fascinating hearing his experience with technology like that. Dave interviews some of the top researchers, biochemists, meditation experts, entrepreneurs, and doctors across the world who share tips for taking control and upgrading your biochemistry, body and mind so they work in unison.

3 ) The Fat Burning Man Show:
I really love this podcast. Abel James speaks the truth about health and nutrition and exposes the misleading claims that have been made, leading most Americans astray. He seems so approachable and treats his website as a place for discussion and conversation. Other than the fact Abel is so visibly into each podcast on his YouTube channel making you more excited to listen, the guests he brings onto his show share everything I want to learn about. Hearing from the creator of Four Sigmatic on why medicinal mushrooms are so powerful for the body, getting the inside scoop on how Kobe incorporates bone broth into his daily regimen, learning why we overeat and and how to beat cravings, understanding the thyroid connection and leaky gut, and learning more about the ketogenic diet and how to fuel athletics with fat are just a few topics on The Fat Burning Man Show. You definitely have to check out his page!

4 ) Revolution Health Radio by Chris Kresser:
Chris Kresser has one of the top 25 natural health sites in the world and is on the New York Times Bestseller List for Your Personal Paleo. He is a physician and is very well-respected in the functional and integrative health world. His podcasts don’t include ads at the beginning of the segments (thank you) and many of the episodes are pretty short, lasting between 20-40 minutes, which are awesome. The topics and information covered are cutting-edge, nerdy, and provide practical information on how to prevent and reverse disease in a natural way.

5 ) Cabral Concept:
Dr. Stephen Cabral is a Naturopathic, Ayurvedic and Functional Medicine Doctor and someone I had the pleasure of meeting while visiting Boston earlier this year. What I like about his podcasts is that he assigns a different topic for each day of the week– Motivation and Mindset Monday, Total Wellness Tuesday, Weight Loss Wednesdays, Training Thursdays… and on the weekends he addresses all kinds of commonly asked questions from his listeners. They’re generally short podcasts, some lasting even under 15 minutes. He talks pretty fast so be prepared to keep up, but he offers so much scientific info (again, giddy over the research), plus all kinds of topics people want/need to know.

6 ) Soul On Fire:
Jordan Younger (@thebalancedblonde) is the girl behind Soul On Fire and author of Breaking Vegan. She seems like such a down to earth girl and is truly interested in what her listeners want to hear. I actually can’t wait to visit her one of these next CA trips! Jordan has interviewed so many experts and entrepreneurs in the health, wellness and blogging world that includes Sophie Jaffe, the creator of Philosophiie, Kelly Leveque, celeb holistic nutritionist, Jonathan Albrecht, the regional operations manager of Orange Theory, Lauryn and Michael Bosstick, the two behind @theskinnyconfidential, and more. With each episode, Jordan finds out what the interviewee has done to set their soul on fire, hence the name of the podcast.
