Not Your Average Sloppy Joe's

Bringing back a childhood favorite-- I completely forgot how downright DELICIOUS these are!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 white onion
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup Sir Kensington's classic ketchup
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1-2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
  • 3-4 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 6-oz can tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp pink salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large sauce pan or skillet, sauté ground beef in oil about 3-5 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Add in onion, bell pepper and mushroom for an additional 3-5 minutes. 

  2. Add remaining ingredients and let cook for 10-12 minutes on low heat, stirring every few minutes. 

  3. Once done, toast the buns and add sloppy joe mixture to each bun.
