Mashed Red Potatoes

  • 1 bag (or 15) red potatoes
  • 1 cup bone broth, heated (takes the place of milk or cream, and adds a boost of nutrients!)
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/8 cup chives, finely chopped
  • pink salt, to taste
  • ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)


  1. Add potatoes to extra large pot, then cover with water. Lid the pot, then bring to boil. Reduce heat and let cook about 25-30 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender.

  2. Pour pot over colander to drain.

  3. Transfer potatoes to large bowl and mash. I like to keep the skins on for the added color & fiber content.

  4. Stir in bone broth, ghee, chives, salt, pepper and garlic powder, if using. Enjoy!
