If you need a few new pregnancy snack ideas to work into your rotation, I have five that I’ve been loving during my second pregnancy. During my first pregnancy, my hyperfixation snack was an apple sliced up with peanut butter, and I had that basically every single day. There’s nothing better than finding a snack that hits the spot when you’re pregnant. I loved that one so much, lol.

These five are satisfying, easy to throw together, and give you a solid amount of protein. Pregnancy hunger is real, and I’ve found that most days, three meals just aren’t enough for me. Having a few snacks ready to grab makes it so much easier to make it to the next meal without getting too hungry.

Hoping that one of these snacks becomes your new hyperfixation – enjoy!

High-Protein Pregnancy Snack Ideas

From sweet snacks to savory bites and a few make-ahead favorites, these high-protein pregnancy snacks are easy to prep and have ready whenever hunger hits.

Healthy no-bake peanut butter protein bars ready to eat

Peanut Butter Protein Bars

These have been a staple in my fridge for years. They’re no-bake, come together fast, and are perfect for post-workout fuel, between meetings, or an easy grab-and-go snack during the week. The perfect pregnancy snack (and maybe even better than apples and peanut butter?).

Protein Brownie Bites (Easy No-Bake)

These protein brownie bites aren’t just any sweet treat—they’re a no-bake, high-protein snack that’s both indulgent and nourishing. Using whole-food ingredients like dates for natural sweetness (+ fiber) and cashews for healthy fats and creaminess, gives them a fudgy, rich texture without any refined sugar.

No-Bake Cinnamon Cereal Bars (Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free)

These are for the cereal obsessed preggy girls. These bars are a sweet treat but instead of refined sugar and additives, these bars are naturally sweetened with honey, packed with protein from peanut butter and collagen peptides, and still give you that crunchy bite thanks to a gluten-free (and grain-free) cereal base.

Banana Bread Protein Muffins

One of my favorite recipes I’ve ever created – I made these while I was pregnant/ postpartum with Hayes recipe testing for my cookbook, The High-Protein Plate. I make these on repeat and think you’ll love them as much as I do. All the recipes in my cookbook are not only delicious, but you can also trust that I’ve done the work to make sure they’re high-qualitly from a nutrition standpoint. Before everything else that I’m doing I was a full-time dietitian, and that lens is always there when I’m creating food for my family, this site, or my cookbooks.

Fluffy High-Protein Cottage Cheese Pancakes (No Added Sugar, Kid-Friendly)

Did I technically make this recipe for my toddler? Yes. But these are such a staple in our fridge that I can’t help but recommend them as a daily snack. I currently make a double batch every other week and freeze half right away. That way we have some ready to go in the fridge and plenty of back stock if we run out. They reheat super quickly in the toaster oven for a mid-morning bite.
