There are so many *resistance bands only* moves that I love, but today I’m rounding up 3 that always leave me especially sore. Grab your Rec Sweat bands and give these a go, or save this post for your next leg day!

All 4’s Banded Hip Openers

I am telling you now, do not underestimate this one. It looks too easy, but this move always leaves me sore! I love adding this into a warmup, or onto a burner set after leg day. Working the entire range of motion through the hip not only engages the glutes, but the deep core. Love that for us! Try 5-8 reps per side, 2-3 sets total. Good luck sisters.

Banded Hip Thrust Openers

I’m sure you’re familiar with the power of hip thrusts, but the openers will really get you where you least expect it. My best tip for this one is to hold slightly longer than you think you should at the top, taking your time and really working into the resistance of the band when you press out through both knees. Try 10-12 reps, 3-4 sets total.

Banded In And Out Jump Squats

Listen, if you don’t want to put the band on for this one I understand… but the spice level with the band is something you don’t want to miss! Jump squats are hard as is – and no matter how many reps I do they just never get easier. We love an exercise that keeps us humble. Try 8-10 reps, 2-3 sets total.
