A lot of you may already be familiar with my workouts, especially those who’ve been with me, sweating on our mats every step of the way during this quarantine. I get questions every now and then if I’ve posted any beginner-type workouts that you guys can start with to build up to what I typically post on my feed / do in our Instagram Live workouts. It’s got me thinking that I need to create a few specific BEGINNER-STYLE WORKOUTS, but also, it’s motivating me to share my 3 favorite lower-intensity or low-impact workouts to help ease into a good fitness routine. Maybe you’re new to working out or you’ve taken some time off and you need something that can get you on the right track towards living a more active lifestyle– either way, I got you covered!

One thing to know about my workouts is that I love timed interval and circuit training. This basically means that I like to pair a few different exercises in one ‘circuit’ or group, and then put a timer on to perform each exercise. I really enjoy this style of exercise because it makes it doable for ALL fitness levels, not just moderate or advanced. Putting a timer on exercises takes out having to do them for a specific number of reps, and instead, leaves you pushing yourself as hard as YOU can go during the allotted time frame. It’s really just a race against yourself. PLUS, I like to think about interval training as a way to get a bigger bang for your buck in a short amount of time. You’ll be sweating in no time!

The harder you push yourself and the better you get at performing these exercises (proper form, better trained cardiovascular system, etc.), the more reps you’ll be able to push yourself over these next few weeks, months, and years so it will CONTINUE to be a challenge whether you’re a beginner or advanced!

CHECK OUT THESE 3 BEGINNER-STYLE WORKOUTS:

  1. There have been so many requests for either low-impact or ‘neighbor-friendly’ workouts to do if you live in an apartment or live above someone else — here is one of my favorites! Click the photos below and head to my Instagram to see the vids in action.
  2. Another good one, and all you’ll need is a set of dumbbells, or get creative and use whatever you have in your house! No excuses! 😉
  3. We got another low-impact / neighbor-friendly workout for ya! I like putting these in the beginner category because they’re low-intensity compared to some of the other workouts I’ve been posting.

If you’re feeling like you need some more guidance than these swipe through videos or are used to instructor-led classes, I highly recommend following along on one of my IGTV Lives where we get to workout TOGETHER. It makes such a huge difference and honestly is so much more motivating sweating it out together! Click here for 25+ Live Workouts on my page 🙂

Can’t wait to get a GOOD SWEAT!
